I live in a two storey house in Lalor. A weed has grown in the gutter in a small area on the second storey near a downpipe which is affecting drainage (just to the left of the aerial in the photos). Roof space is approx 140m2. It’s 1970’s. Old blow in insulation has been there probably since it was built and it looks like the old owners placed some random insulation batts on top. Maybe as part of the old vic govt scheme. We are looking to have a full clear out. No need to install new batts as I’ll do that myself, just looking for it to be cleaned and cleared out. I’ve had a few quotes from companies as a package with removal and then supply and install of new stuff. I’m just checking to see if it’s a better option to install myself and pay someone that owns a large vacuum to just remove/clean.
