Require quotes for installation of new flooring in an apartment (located on St Kilda Road Melbourne). The area requiring flooring is approximately 45sqm (Bed 1, Bed 2, Dining, Living and kitchen). All existing carpet, underlay and grip boards have been removed and been disposed of. Concrete slab is clean and been filled where previous grip boards were removed. Depending on cost and timeframe to instal, I’d be happy to go with either: Option 1 – Install some variety of hybrid or vinyl sheet flooring. The bodycorp has been quite specific about the underlay needed (pre-approved underlay is the 5mm thickness CalmMat Acoustic Rubber Underlay). Option 2 – Install new grip boards, underlay and carpet throughout. The apartment is going to be a rental property so looking for cost-effectiveness, durability and timely installation. I am happy to source the products from a supplier if that helps save time. There is basement carparking on site (van size). I am after a quote for floorboards for a 1-bedroom apartment. Require floorboards only in the kitchen & lounge/ dining area (carpet to remain as is in the bedroom). The total area I would want the floorboards in would be between 35 - 40 meter. If you could advise me on laminate and vinyl both - I would prefer the water-resistant quality. Also, the difference in price and quality for 5mm, 7mm and upwards. Any additional costs for carpet removal, furniture moving etc. to be included in the quote as well.
