I’m looking for an experienced flooring professional who works with engineered timber flooring on a regular basis and is confident with careful removal and replacement of individual boards. The job involves removing approximately 3–4 damaged 14mm engineered flooring boards that have been affected by water damage and replacing them with new boards. Replacement flooring will be supplied. Scope of Work Carefully remove the damaged engineered floorboards without unnecessarily extending the removal into surrounding areas. Maximum of 3–4 boards to be removed — this is important, as the flooring supplier no longer has the exact matching colour available. Remove and refit the existing skirting boards where required. The skirting is caulked, so it needs to be removed carefully and kept for reuse. Minor damage to the wall or paintwork during removal is acceptable, as this will be repaired separately. Prepare the existing floor/subfloor as required before installation. Install the replacement engineered boards and fully glue them down using the appropriate flooring adhesive. Boards will be weighted/secured while the adhesive cures to ensure a solid, flat and professional finish. Refit the existing skirting boards neatly once the flooring is completed. Important This is a job where care and experience are more important than speed. I need someone who is confident removing engineered flooring without unnecessarily damaging or extending the affected area. Please only apply if you have experience doing this type of repair and are confident you can remove and replace the boards cleanly. I’m happy to pay the right price for the right person. I’ve allowed a reasonable budget for someone experienced who can do the job properly. Please include some details of your experience with engineered timber flooring repairs/replacement and, if possible, examples of similar work you’ve completed.

I’m moving out of my rental property and need a small burnt patch 2cm x 2.5cm on the carpet professionally repaired before my end-of-lease inspection. The damaged area is quite small and the rest of the carpet is in good condition. Deck and house timber stain Looking for someone experienced to clean, prepare and stain the timber at the rear of my house. Scope includes: Clean and prepare the existing back deck. Light sand/prep where required. Stain the full deck area. Stain the vertical timber cladding across the rear of the house. Stain the timber under the roof/eaves where required. Protect windows, brickwork, outdoor kitchen and surrounding areas. Apply enough coats to achieve an even, quality finish. Clean up once completed. The timber is currently weathered in some areas, particularly the deck, so preparation is important. Photos attached showing the full area. Amit’s attention to detail and craftsmanship were excellent. The finished work was completed to a high standard. The main area for improvement was communication around pricing. The scope and price changed during the job, but we did not receive a clear revised quote before the work was completed. The final cost was double the original price. Clear approval of any price changes before continuing would have improved the overall experience.

We have a suspended timber floor where the shims between stumps and joists have fallen out. There are about 5 or 6 locations where this has occurred cause the floor to be unsupported. The task is to supply and install replacement packers/shims to support the floor and secure them properly so the issue doesn't reoccur. There is an access point directly to the subfloor.
