Would appreciate some assistance with our Victorian Home in fitting door knobs and closing mechanisms in doors as there currently are no holes, strikeplates etc. There is nothing behind the current mounted plates seen in photos, and have removed the knobs ourselves 5 doors - We will need to flip one door, replace 5 door hinges and minimally shave two doors at the bottom but that can be discussed at a later time.
