I’m looking for an experienced handyman to complete several small repairs tomorrow. The priorities are: 1. Repair or replace two damaged/loose tiles. 2. I need someone to shave a few mm off the bottom of three internal doors, so that they can open over a new rug without dragging. The doors are modern hollow core doors (1 x bathroom door, 1x double doors to a cupboard = 3 total). Ideally need it done this weekend.

Internal bedroom door — bottom hinge has pulled out of the timber frame, screw holes split. Door is currently hanging on the top hinge only and unusable. Top hinge itself is intact and still attached to the door. Photos attached. Repair approach to be assessed on-site — could range from repairing the split timber in place (filler/epoxy + longer screws), to cutting out and splicing in new timber, repairing the wood and moving the hinges . Happy to be guided by your recommendation once you’ve had a look.

A small job for an experienced carpenter/joiner to hang a new internal door. The door has already been planed to size and fits the opening, so won’t need any resizing or trimming. I just need someone to: * Fit and recess the hinges into the door and frame. * Hang the door so it is straight, flush and operates smoothly with even gaps. * Fit a pull handle to the door (pull handle only – no latch or lock mechanism). The frame is already in place, and the door is ready to be hung. I’ve attached a photo of the opening. Tools: * I have tools available, including a planer and chisels. * Ideally, you’ll bring your own professional tools. Parking: * I’ll cover the cost of parking. Our internal door latch has broken and needs to be refitted correctly. We have a new latch and the installation guide, but after attempting to reinstall it ourselves, the latch mechanism won’t click into place or operate properly. We’re looking for someone experienced with door hardware who can: * Reassemble/refit the tubular latch correctly. * Ensure the latch retracts and springs back properly. * Reinstall and align the door hardware so the door closes and latches as it should.

Hi all. I have always had issues with the windows in the flat, them being stuck when I moved in, mold, paint falling off etc. Now I would like to tackle the living room windows situation. They have not been opened for a few years (Don't ask) in the meantime the maintenance company also done painting from the outside so I believe they will be even more stuck as they would be already. Could someone have a look at them, so I am able to open them again please but carefully to not damage anything? In addition I would also like the windowsill and frame re-painted in white from inside. I had this done previously but it is coming off again. Please note that the window handles to open don't need to be replaced. Please offer total price for task plus painting/tool cost.
