I need help with installation an outdoor awning for the garden patio area above a French door. The installation guide shows this includes: 1) installing 2 brackets on either side of the with two screws each (14mm drill bit for brick work and spanner required) 2) all the screws and brackets are included in the pack 3) I have a ladder than can be used but may be useful to bring another one 4) You will need to bring your own drill as I am not sure mine can handle brick work 5) There will be one other person here to help with lift the awning once the bracket is in the wall 6) I've attached photos showing the area where it will be installed and also the installation manual which shows the 5-step process for installing this.

The curtain would need some kind of rail on the top and bottom of the window so that the curtains are tight against the window when closed, rather than loose at the bottom which would let all the heat out
