Existing Setup: • Kitchen contains a cooker hood/extractor above the hob. • The hood currently operates in recirculation mode, filtering air and venting it out the side of the unit (not ducted externally). • There is a separate extractor fan installed nearby in the kitchen ceiling, which vents into the roof void and is assumed to connect to the building’s communal ventilation outlet. Required Works: 1. Removal of Existing Ceiling Extractor Fan • Safely isolate and remove the existing kitchen ceiling extractor fan. • Properly seal and make good the opening to ensure an airtight and visually finished result. 2. Modification of Cooker Hood Ventilation • Assess the feasibility of converting the existing cooker hood from recirculating to ducted extraction. • If feasible, connect the cooker hood to the communal ventilation route via the roof void (subject to compliance with building regulations and any block management requirements). • Supply and install all necessary ducting, fittings, and connections.
