Hello would love for someone to help put up our new blinds as I have no idea. The blind is slightly wider than the window recess, so it will need to be face-fixed to the wall above the window rather than fitted inside the recess. The blind comes with universal brackets suitable for face fixing and the manufacturer’s fittings. The job will involve: * Removing two old blind brackets from inside the window recess * Measuring and centring the new blind above the window * Drilling and securely fixing the new brackets to the wall * Installing and levelling the blind * Fitting the supplied child-safety cord fitting Please bring your own drill / other relevant tools. Hope this makes sense because it doesn’t to me! Much appreciated!

Hi! I need help repairing a faux-wood Venetian blind. The cord used to raise and lower it seems to have come loose or stretched from its attachment point, which itself seems to have become a little loose. I think it should be a fairly simple repair — it happened while I was just trying to raise the blind normally, without pulling hard or forcing anything. I’d need someone to check the mechanism and reattach or tighten the cord/fixing point. Thank you!

Hello, the blinds in my son's nursery seem to have stoped opening or closing. I think there might be an issue with the mechanism. Is this something you're able to assist with?

Our Venetian blind needs to be repaired. The strong which you use to operate the blind and pull it up has snapped. As a result they're permanently down and can't be pulled up. I was hoping there's a way to restring the blinds so it can be operated without having to purchase a new one.

The plastic white Venetian blind is 180 cm wide, but the window width is 176.5 cm. The blind will need to be cut to size and properly fitted.

Fit wooden Venetian blind, bracket clip snapped off Need someone to refit a wooden Venetian blind. The end bracket clip has snapped off, so the headrail won’t stay up. Ideally you’d bring a replacement bracket (25mm or 16mm depth, standard top-fix) and refit securely to the window frame. Blind and old fittings are on site. Should take 20 to 30 minutes for someone experienced.

Larger one will need an inch trimming off, smaller one will need 3 inches.

String replacement of a wooden venetian blind

We want to refit Venetian blinds into a bay window. Previously, the blinds were attached to a timber/panel section above the window\. We have removed this as part of redecorating, so the original fixing arrangement is no longer there\. We are looking for someone experienced with fitting/refitting Venetian blinds who can assess the existing blinds and brackets and find the best way to securely refit them\. This may involve different brackets, extension/face\-fix brackets, or another suitable fixing method\. We specifically want to refit the existing blinds and are not looking to purchase new blinds Ideally looking for someone who has experience solving similar fitting issues with bay windows and existing blinds. We can provide photos of the bay, blinds and existing brackets before the job if required\.

We have a Venetian blind that we have ordered and it’s slight too wide. We need it trimmed on the side and slats. We want it fitted inside (recess). It’s 220cm wide and the recess is 218cm wide.

These are quite large Venetian blinds - they do just about tilt but the mechanism is clunky and freeing or replacing somehow. This is in an orb with guests arriving Friday 3pm

One of the chords has become a little bit tough to pull and that has resulted in it becoming unsecured on one side at the top of the blind. Blind needs securing at the top and lubricating.

The old set of wooden Venetian blinds needs to be taken down and removed (off premises by you) and a new set of similar blinds installed (which we have). They are 2cms wider than the original blinds so the old fixings need to come off and the new braces reset slightly further apart.
