I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/joiner to supply all materials, build, install and paint 6 made-to-measure floating shelves in the alcoves either side of our chimney breast/fireplace. There will be 3 shelves on each side, running the full width of each alcove. I’m looking for a clean, contemporary built-in finish similar to the reference image provided. The job should include: Supply of all materials 6 bespoke shelves – 3 on each side Approximately 40–50mm thick Full width of each alcove and neatly scribed to the walls Hidden/concealed fixings – no visible brackets Strong, level and symmetrical installation Filling, sanding and caulking for a seamless built-in appearance Priming where required Painting the shelves to match the existing wall colour All labour and materials included

Looking for an experienced tradesperson to close/seal an existing unused bedroom fireplace and leave it ready for decorating. The existing chimney breast and mantel are being retained — I am not looking to remove the chimney breast. Work required: • Inspect existing fireplace/chimney opening and confirm the appropriate method of closure • Close/board the fireplace opening, including any necessary ventilation • Make good/plaster the surrounding area for a smooth finish ready for painting • Retain the existing mantel/shelf • Remove/dispose of waste from the work I will be painting and installing decorative walnut wall panelling myself afterwards. Hi! We need a mirror and mantle installed and mounted on the wall above the fireplace and also a full length mirror mounted in the hallway. I don't have the screws/ mounts ect for the hallway mirror. The flat is a Victorian terrace so I think the fireplace wall might be plaster and lath but I'm not sure, would be good to have someone with experience with this please.

Tile hearth area of fireplace floor. Surface already screeded and tiles layed out and measured. Just needs tiles cutting, laying tile adhesive, placing tiles and grouting.

Panelling on one wall and a tv fireplace unit needs assembling

My TV Unit is already up on my wall, the only thing I need done is for my electric fire to be popped into the unit with the frame. A hole has to be made at the bottom of the unit so that the plug can feed through to reach the socket. I am based in Tower Hamlets, Bow, London E3 area.
