Repair deep scratches/gouges in wood-effect flooring A suitcase appears to have caused several narrow but noticeable gouges in the flooring near the entrance to our flat. The scratches are physical indentations, not surface scuffs, and can be felt with a fingernail. I’m unsure whether the flooring is solid wood, engineered wood or laminate, so I’m looking for someone experienced in identifying and repairing this type of damage. Ideally, I’d like a localised, colour-matched repair that blends in with the existing floor, without replacing floorboards.

Hi, I’m looking for a contractor to carry out the following refurbishment works: Remove existing carpets and install herringbone wooden flooring throughout, approx. 78 m². Flooring supplied by me. Paint the entrance hall sage and add cornicing, paint and cornicing provided by us. Fit oak planks to the staircase, approx. 10 m² on staircases, oak plans also provided by me. Replace 3 internal doors with new white doors, supplied by me. The master bedroom already has herringbone flooring and requires no work.

Saxony carpet with Cloud 9 (11mm) underlay for bedroom with two doors and a splay bay. Room is 4.72 x 3.91 square metres. Will need one door bar to connect carpet to tiled floor. I already have herringbone Floor laid but I want it extended further up the hallway. It is a click and fit style and I have leftover from before but may need to purchase a bit more. Basically the carpet up 2 steps and remainder of small hallway as in pictures.

Replace skirting boards in one room

I have a carpet runner that need laying on my stairs. There are 14 steps.

My kitchen is 16x5 and has fridge and washing machine can be laid directly. The bathroom 5x5 has vynl to be removed and to be laid under both sink and toilet.

I’ve just moved into my new council flat. I need vinyl flooring for the whole flat. I am not allowed laminate or wooden flooring due to council rules so please don’t suggest that.
