Scratch caused by a needle on floor most likely laminate - plank replacement can be an option we are just trying to source the planks if not any way to repair the scratch?

Install carpet and fix 4 steps of common area in building with 4 floors. It includes 7 flights of stairs and ~20m of straight area. Estimated around 75m2 in total. Four steps need fixing by adding wood or nailing. Ideal start early in January, but flexible. My guess is that a temperature switch controller is out of order and needs replacing, the heating in the room is not adjusted because of that and it is cold.
