I have an older aluminium sliding balcony door/window system in an apartment that is letting in quite a lot of outside air through gaps around the frames and sliding sections. The glass is intact and the doors/windows operate — I’m not looking to replace the system. I’d like someone experienced with older aluminium windows/doors to improve the draught sealing. Looking for someone to: * Inspect the existing sliding door/window system and identify the main air gaps. * Supply and install appropriate brush/pile/mohair weather seals around the sliding sections and panel overlaps. * Replace/add deteriorated or missing seals where appropriate. * Clean the tracks and sealing surfaces as required. * Adjust the sliding panels/rollers if necessary to improve how they close and seal. * Seal any genuine gaps in the fixed frame if appropriate. * Keep all drainage/weep holes and sliding tracks functioning correctly.
