Hi there, I am looking for an experienced Waterproofer or Plumber to diagnose and fix a shower leak in my ensuite. The Issue: • I noticed water staining on the carpet in my Walk-in Robe, which shares a wall with the shower. • The wall and skirting boards feel dry to the touch, but the floor is wet. • I have lifted the carpet and found: 1. The carpet tack strip (gripper) is rotten, black, and moldy. 2. The nails are rusted. 3. The underlay is a bit wet and moldy. (Please see attached photos) My suspicion: It is likely a failure in the shower waterproofing membrane, grout, or silicone at the base level, causing water to wick under the wall into the carpet area. The Task: 1. Inspect: Carry out a proper leak detection (moisture test/pressure test) to confirm the source. 2. My shower head keeps dripping even when both hot and cold taps are fully turned off. It’s a traditional shower with separate hot and cold twist taps (not a mixer). I think one of the internal washers or seals needs to be replaced. Looking for a licensed plumber to fix it and supply the replacement parts if needed.

My shower keeps dripping from the head even when both taps are turned off. • I have already replaced the hot water washer, but the leak continues. • The hot water spindle looks newer/different (replaced at some point before), but the cold water spindle seems old and possibly stuck/glued in place. • When opening the hot side, I noticed some rubber band–like material around the spring. • If required, I’m also fine with replacing the whole spindle or tap — just let me know first.
