Note: About 50cm of this wall is inside an easily accessible built-in wardrobe, which includes a 30cm perpendicular stub wall return. The job requires: - Carefully removing and disposing of the existing plasterboard on my side of the wall. - Installing high-density acoustic batts into the metal frame cavity. - Creating a dense insulation block at the bathroom wall junction to prevent lateral sound bleed. - Installing 13mm high-density acoustic plasterboard (e.g., Gyprock Soundchek) using appropriate metal-thread screws. - Applying acoustic sealant around the entire perimeter to ensure an airtight seal. - Setting, sanding, and painting the wall to a finished match. Materials: I am on a budget but want quality materials. I can buy the Soundchek sheets, batts, and sealant from Bunnings if you tell me exactly what to grab.
