What do Property Maintenance Services include?

Whether you have a commercial building or residential rental property, property maintenance services include the necessary activities to preserve the value and keep your property in tip-top shape.

These services can include general cleaning, general maintenance tasks like checking that the plumbing, electricals and other fixtures are in working order, disposing of any rubbish and repairing damage to the property or its installations. They can also inspect Safety safety features. Some property maintenance specialists can do minor house repairs and clean-up after damaging events like a storm.

General cleaning and property care

Property maintenance specialists can clean your property from top to bottom. The cleaning tasks include mopping and cleaning floors, cleaning windows, and removing dust, dirt and grime in every room and on most accessible surfaces outside the property. Some specialists can clear out your property’s gutters of fallen leaves or other debris and check your roofing. Furniture and fixtures can also be cleaned by your hired specialists if necessary.

Home maintenance services

Our handyman property services include simple maintenance tasks to keep your property’s fixtures in working order, like plumbing, electricals and HVAC systems. Maintenance specialists can check windows and doors for damage or misalignment (they may lubricate the hinges, so they open and close without snagging). Additionally, they can clean the dust filters of ventilation ducts.

Your specialist can also check the lighting and replace broken or non-working light bulbs, mow the lawn and collect all the fallen leaves from the property grounds.

Rubbish disposal

After cleaning, maintenance specialists will dispose of any collected rubbish or refuse. As part of the home maintenance or property maintenance services, they can perform a variety of removals to keep your property clean, safe, pest-free and comfortable for tenants.

Specialists can dispose of many common forms of rubbish, but note that hazardous materials requiring complicated recycling or more stringent disposal practices may not be handled; contact a professional disposal service for these types of materials.

Home repair services

Maintenance specialists can find and repair minor damage to your property or its fixtures. They can repair leaky faucets or pipes, fix your fencing and do small carpentry to fix broken cabinets or shelves. Some specialists can put on a fresh coat of paint on your property’s walls if necessary, should the paint be chipping off from age or damaged from the weather; they may even apply new paint to cover up graffiti.

Building maintenance: fire safety and exits

Maintenance specialists can inspect your property’s safety measures or features like fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and fire exits. They can check if the extinguishers are past their expiry and need replacement, and if any smoke detectors need their batteries changed. Maintenance specialists can ensure that paths to fire exits are accessible and not obstructed by any rubbish or debris, and check that the exits work correctly.
