Water damaged floorboards (14mm engineered timber) have been partially removed in my apartment and concrete slab underneath dried. Need replacement floorboards installed (approx 52sqm): 1. Pick up new floorboards in Epping (I have a quote to purchase laminate 12mm 'blackbutt' for 52sqm + wastage - $2,200) 2. Remove and dispose of remaining floorboards (approx 26sqm) 3. Install replacement floating laminate floorboards & underlay (approx 52sqm) 4. Supply & replace any skirting required (5.6m has already been removed & needs replacing + any more of the 31m remaining skirting that needs replacing to install the floorboards) - ensuring no gap between floor and skirting (whether by scotia, or wider skirting). Some of this might not be needed - or there might be more to do, looking for someone to help me figure out the best way to get it done. Also open to you sourcing the floorboards yourself if easier - have been looking at laminate to keep costs down compared to replacing with engineered timber. I've had a few very different quotes for various parts of the job that have just been confusing, so would really like someone with a can do attitude to help me get this sorted out in one go. We have just laid carpet, however it is too thick for the current doors to work properly and so need them shortened to make them fit. There are five bedroom doors and one wooden sliding door. I would estimate around 5mm would need to be taken off each door, but that is a best guess. I have taken the doors off already for the work to commence. The sliding door will also need a small rail ie 2cms put onto the carpet to guide the sliding door from floating outwards - Due date: Before Friday, 8 July 2022
