I’m looking for an experienced carpenter to inspect and fix squeaky flooring, with the issue believed to be coming from the subfloor. The property is on stumps with underfloor access. There are 2 major squeaky areas, plus another 2–3 smaller areas where the floor squeaks when walked on. A flooring installer has inspected the flooring and advised that the issue needs to be fixed from the subfloor, possibly due to loose boards or fixings, movement between the subfloor and joists, or a similar issue. Scope of work: * Access and inspect the affected areas from underneath the house * Identify the cause of the squeaking * Fix any loose or moving sections of the subfloor * Add screws, adhesive, packing or other appropriate fixings as required * Eliminate the squeaking There is underfloor access from the subfloor entry point to the affected areas. Looking for someone experienced with subfloor repairs and diagnosing/fixing squeaky floors.

Upstairs floor preparation / repairs I need the upstairs floor prepared for installation of laminate flooring. The work is from the stairs onwards. 4 small bedrooms. Carpet has already been removed. 1. Squeaky stairs and subfloor * Identify and fix the squeaking stairs. * Screw/secure the upstairs subfloor sheets to the joists where required to eliminate movement and squeaking. 2. Water damage near bathroom * There appears to have been water leakage from the upstairs bathroom into the adjacent bedroom/floor area. * Please inspect the affected flooring/subfloor and determine whether the material has been water damaged. * Remove/replace any timber/subfloor that has deteriorated or lost its structural integrity. 3. Steel beam running through two bedrooms * There is a steel beam running across/through the two bedrooms. * There is currently a timber board sitting on top of the steel beam, but it appears to be loose and is higher/uneven compared with the surrounding subfloor. * I would like this section properly secured to the steel beam using an appropriate fixing method. * Level the timber so the finished surface is flush with the surrounding floor. * If the existing timber can be safely reused, plane it down with an electric planer as necessary. * If it is unsuitable, replace it with a new piece of timber cut to the required dimensions and levelled appropriately.

Hybrid flooring damaged and a hole in flooring. Need repaired

We have a few locations in our house where our cork flooring is creaking noticeably and I believe needs the cork tiles to be re-fixed. I have tried getting underneath the house to bang the joists back up to the floor in case that was the issue however it is still very creaky in a few isolated locations so believe there is around 5 m2 of locations that may need the cork tiles to be re-fixed to the flooring. Please in your quote include how long you believe this will take and any material / adhesive needed. Cheers Nick

Our kitchen floor boards (hybrid floor tiles, clip-ins) have a bump under one of them. Need a hand figuring out the problem and finding a solution. Boards are installed under the kitchen cabinets (photos attached).

Holes on engineered timber flooring, need to repair. Pls help! We are ending our lease and need to patch these up, 2 of them still have the screw inside, they need to be pulled out, filled and colour matched with the floor. There are 9 holes in total.

The strip between the hybrid floorings have come loose. Meaning, the hybrid flooring put on top of the tile flooring and the hybrid flooring put after removing the carpet has a transition strip ans that has come loose. See photos as well please.

Bike tyre rubber had stained floor. Need to be sanded back and then have top coat or polish reapplied.

I recently had a hot water leak in the laundry that spilled into the adjoining kitchen / hall area. At the time, all visible water was removed and professional dehumidifiers /dryers were used, so I believed everything had dried properly. I was then away overseas and have just returned to find that sections of the floating timber flooring have started to buckle/lift and gaps have appeared between some boards. Approximately 5-6 boards are affected. They also had a heavy piece of furniture pushing pressure onto it which may have contributed to the uneven expansion / shrinkage. The floors were already older / not in perfect condition, so I’m not looking to replace the entire floor. I’m hoping to salvage and repair the existing boards wherever possible. I’m looking for an experienced timber flooring specialist who can assess the affected area, including checking the timber and underneath for residual / trapped moisture. I understand the repair may need to be completed in two stages: initially lifting / removing the affected boards so the area underneath can be properly inspected and, if necessary, allowed to dry completely; then returning once moisture levels are appropriate to relay / reseat and repair the existing flooring. Ideally you will have a moisture meter and experience with water-damaged floating timber floors. The priority is making sure everything underneath is properly dry before the floor is closed back up, while preserving as much of the existing flooring as possible. Tape has pulled up the finish and a thin layer of the wood surface in 3 strips. Please fix this, it doesn’t have to be immaculately perfect, it just needs to blend back in decently.

Two floorboards are damaged and need replaced. The replacement boards don't need to perfectly match (this is coming ahead of a later renovation), but a close stain would be great.
