Looking for a qualified carpenter experienced with steel-frame flooring in Calamvale. There is a metallic clicking/clunking sound from one specific area of the upstairs master bedroom floor when stepped on. The townhouse was built in 2019 with a steel-frame/metal floor system. Suspect a loose floor sheet, screw or fixing — looking for someone to inspect, tighten/secure the loose flooring and repair the issue. The bedroom has wall-to-wall carpet, which may need to be carefully lifted to access the flooring underneath. The carpet will then need to be properly re-stretched and glued/re-secured after the repair.

Two floorboards are damaged and need replaced. The replacement boards don't need to perfectly match (this is coming ahead of a later renovation), but a close stain would be great.

I have 2 Floor boards have popped. They need to be taken out and shaved back and then put back into place. See images.

Hi there, I’ve come across your work on Airtasker and was hoping you might be able to help with a small floorboard repair job. We have three small areas of timber flooring that have been damaged over time, mainly from dog scratches and general wear and tear. I’ve attempted to sand back and restain the affected areas myself, but I’m not happy with the finish and would really like to have them repaired professionally and blended back into the existing floor as well as possible. I’m not looking to have the entire floor sanded or refinished, just these three localised areas. I need a handyman or carpenter to fix damaged timber subflooring in a hallway and turn a sloped ramp section into a single step. What needs to be done: Pull back carpet to access the floor. Remove and replace the damaged wood underneath. Remove the current ramp transition between the high and low floor sections. Build a solid single step to connect the two floor levels. Lay carpet back down over the new step/floor.
