I’ve pulled out a pillar and I need a part of my floor fixed - I have spare boards they click in. I think we might have to lift sections to lay it down again. I have 3 boxes - 30 boards.

Deteriorated and warped boards on hardwood deck. Sections of joist also affected. Because it is on a concrete slab, cannot view underneath to see how much is affected. We just want somebody who comes when they say they will, and who does a professional job. The deck is about 9m x 4m. Not sure if the boards are spotted gum or Merbau. It looks like at least 1m (about 12 boards) need replacing across the whole 9m deck width. Possibly the length of joistsunderneath that should be replaced as well but can't tell until the boards are removed. The budget of $9999 was just a random guess, so I'd really like a "tasker" to have a look at the job to give a better estimate before accepting the job- if that is possible. John C.

A small strip of vinyl flooring in my cafe kitchen has lifted and needs to be repaired and secured properly. The strip is still intact, as shown in the photos. We are replacing the flooring in our extension room, and after taking up the carpet it is clear we need to replace a sheet of the plywood subfloor before we can lay down the new flooring. We would like an experienced Carpenter to make this structural repair.

A timber/composite cover panel that runs along the edge of the pool decking has come off. As a result, the underlying decking edge is exposed and has sharp sections, creating a safety hazard. TASK- Replace the missing cover panel, or * Install a temporary timber panel/solution to fully cover the exposed edge and remove any sharp hazard. Priority is to make the area safe immediately (as have guests staying), with a more permanent fix if needed after. Happy for a practical on-site solution — doesn’t need to be perfect today, just safe and secure.
