Hot water randomly stopped working - not sure why

Washing machine water from upstairs dripped into the kitchen ceiling. The plumber cut open the ceiling to drain the water. We need to fix the hole and the area of the ceiling damaged by the water.

I’ve just moved into a new apartment and the toilet is not ideal. I’d like it to be replaced with a new one. The pipe is connected to the right side, and the toilet is securely fixed into the floor.
