Hi Taskers, I need a qualified cabinet maker or carpenter to build and install two custom items for my apartment in Waterloo. 1) Kitchen Modification: Supply and install custom doors to enclose an existing 1m-wide fridge cavity/void. The material can be a basic matte finish or raw moisture-resistant MDF (ready for a vinyl wrap later). Must include heavy-duty, wide-opening hinges (170-degree hinges preferred) and adequate ventilation allowance so the fridge doesn't overheat. 2) Custom Living Room Furniture: Build and install an extra-long, lowline TV storage bench (340 cm long). Because this is for an apartment, it will need to be built modularly in sections to fit up the elevator and be seamlessly joined on-site. Requirements: Must have your own tools and workshop to build off-site. Experience with apartment/strata access and lift clearance dimensions is a must. Please provide examples or photos of your previous custom joinery/cabinetry work with your offer. We need help disassembling part of a built-in cabinet to make room for a larger refrigerator. The areas marked in yellow in the attached photos need to be carefully removed, including: • The vertical side panel • The bottom base/platform • The right back panel between the walls to be removed and instead build a back panel for all backspace. Approximate 120cm by 190cm. The goal is to open up the space for a bigger fridge. Please bring your own tools (e.g., drill) and be experienced in furniture disassembly or cabinet work. Careful work is important as the surrounding structures will stay in place. Location is Waterloo 2017.
