I am looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter to help finish off the wall around a recently installed door so it looks seamless. The job essentially comes down to two main parts: 1. Move the metal strip in: There is a protruding metal casing piece that just needs to be pushed in or shaved down so it sits flush. 2. Patch and finish the wall: Install a full-height MDF panel to close the gap between the existing wall and the new door frame. You'll just need to pop some insulation into the top cavity, fill the gaps, and tidy up the bottom skirting board so it's all enclosed. Once built out, the new section needs to be primed and painted to seamlessly match the existing wall. I need a sliding door realigned. It is currently getting stuck on its return/closing motion and may have derailed or have damage to its rollers/track.

The doors are not hung correctly and have trouble closing due to carpet being installed. Kids ruined the screw holes on one of the doors. Both need about 12mm cut off the bottom, then rehung and screwed into place so they are aligned and open and close easily.

TWO JOBS FOR A SKILLED HANDYMAN Task 1 - Attach two small mirrors to rear side of wardrobe doors. The 2 mirrors were removed for painting and now need to be reattached. Task 2 - Re-install 2 wardrobe sliding doors. They were removed for paint works and carpet installation. The floor rail / bracket needs to be raised, possibly with a strip of aluminium or a piece of 16mm melamine ply, as I have shown in the photo. I have provided a photo of the actual mirror sliding doors, pictured leaning against the wall in the bathroom. Location is an Apartment on St Kilda Road Melbourne 3004. There is one hour parking around the building.
