I need a small pet door installed for a small breed dog (Chihuahua Cross Mini Foxy). The door will need to go through an internal wall that leads outside, near a glass door (see attached photos for reference). My ground-floor apartment has a wind-out window in the kitchen, which due to historic subsidence of the building can't be closed/wound properly shut. The issue just seems to be on the left hand corner, so only the edges on that side need to be sanded. Once sanded, I'd like a lick of paint added (it doesn't need to look good, as it won't be seen) to seal the wood from the rain. Please note that being a wind-out window, the frame can only extend so far. There is also a metallic fly screen in the window, which will inhibit access from the inside (the window is at ground level).
