Frameless shower screensÂ
Your shower screen installer will make sure that a frameless shower screen is suitable for your space. Next, they’ll set out the brackets, attach the brackets, install the fixed panel, secure the hinge panel, seal the gaps, and then attach the door panel. To finish off the job, they’ll check that all the gaps are even, tighten the screws, and remove the blocks. If required, they’ll cut away excess rubber from the other panels. Your shower will be ready to use in 12 hours once the sealant is fully set. This process will, of course, be even simpler if you only have a fixed shower panel with no hinged door (popular for larger shower spaces).
Semi-frameless shower screensÂ
A semi-frameless shower screen has a frame outside the glass, but no frame around the door or adjoining parts of the screen. If you’re getting a semi-frameless shower screen installed, your contractor will first fix the mounting brackets to the walls. Next, they’ll mark the positions of the holes, drill the holes, and secure the frame. They’ll check that everything is even and remove the supporting blocks. After 12 hours, the sealant will be fully set and your shower should be ready for use.
Framed shower screensÂ
Framed showers come fully framed (including the door). This comes in a variety of styles, including hinged, sliding, fixed panel, and corner shower screens. The exact installation steps vary depending on the style of framed shower screens you need to be installed. But generally, they’ll start by fixing metal channels to the wall, before installing the first and second panels and then sealing it all in with silicone to prevent water leakage.Â

Looking for an experienced bathroom installer or glass specialist to help source and install a narrow shower screen. The screen will be approx. 25–30 cm wide and run floor to ceiling. One side fixes to a wall that has a tile-to-wall transition partway up (approx. 1.5 cm step), so this is not a completely flat surface. We need someone who can advise on the best solution, help us choose and order the correct materials, and then complete a clean, professional installation. Important: please explain how you would handle the tile step (for example U-channel, trim solution, or custom-cut glass). We want a clean, intentional finish, not something that looks patched or filled. This task is for labour only. We will pay separately for materials, but would like you to recommend what to purchase and either provide a receipt or invoice for reimbursement. Requirements: proven experience installing shower screens or bathroom glass, confidence working with uneven surfaces, and ability to deliver a high-quality finish. I have two brand new glass shower screens that need to be assembled and installed in my bathroom. You can find instructions for the shower screens online by typing in the name and going to their product listing's: 1. Triton Fast Fix Frameless Chrome Bathscreen 800mm x 1500mm 2. Roman Haven6 1500mm x 910mm Curved Inward Folding Bath Screen You will likely have to drill into tiles on the wall to secure the new shower screens. Please bring necessary drilling equipment to safely drill into tile!!!!! I will try prep the area as much as possible, but you may be required to remove some old sealant from the old shower screens which will be removed prior to your arrival. I have not checked whether the new shower screens come with screws etc, so please bring anything you may need, including sealant etc. Please use clear sealant, not white!!!

I will need a screen above the bath, and a frameless shower screen installed, I also need 2 toilet roll holders installed onto tiled walls. One screen is a straightforward/simple screen installation. The second screen/door is more complex and includes a bespoke glass shower door/screen setup with: 8mm toughened glass, 667mm wide x 2100mm high (measurements in pictures) 3 wall-to-glass 90° shower hinges 1 double pull glass door knob (predrilled) Glass-to-wall seal Glass-to-floor seal Pre-cut hinge cut-outs 12mm drilled hole for handle These parts and materials will be supplied by me. The quote should reflect that this is not just two basic screens. One installation is simple, but the second requires accurate fitting of hinges, seals, and handle hardware on a bespoke glass panel. Please only quote if you have experience fitting frameless or semi-frameless glass shower screens/doors.
