I need someone to replace my kitchen sink waste. I have already bought a replacement, but I'm not sure it's the correct type because it has an overflow connection, and my sink does not have an overflow. The previous owners took the washing machine so the pipe is left loose and is leaking from out of the sink out. We cannot find the correct cap to stop the leak. It should be a very quick job but we need to block/close off the pipe from leaking whilst we wait for our new washing machine.

I think the u bend is blocked and will need removing and cleared. I have tried baking soda and white vinegar followed by a stronger sink cleaner, and whilst it is better it is still not draining.

I’m looking for a plumber to attend and investigate a drainage issue in my kitchen. The problem started while the water from the washing machine start to back up into the kitchen sink, and the sink is now draining very slowly / has become blocked. The washing machine and kitchen sink share a common waste pipe, so there may be a blockage further down the drainage line.
