I need a blackout roller blind fitted for a sash window in Leytonstone, E11. The blind is a Bloc Blinds BlocOut Touch and it's already here, made to measure for the recess at about 85cm wide by 157cm drop. The job is: 1 - Take down the old IKEA blind that's currently in the recess, and fill or tidy the old screw holes. 2 - Fit the new blind's brackets into the top of the recess, level, following Bloc's instructions. 3 - Check it rolls up and down smoothly and sits right. Please bring your own drill, bits, wall plugs, spirit level and filler. Have a small step but not a short ladder, so may need one. The window has brass fittings, so please take care around them. Experience: Previous fittings ideal, attention to detail. When: Tuesday 27 or Thursday 29 October. Budget: £50-70

Looking for a handyman for a small job - removing an old blind fitting and installing a new bamboo blind. Only the top section/fitting attached to the wall remains and needs removing but I have high ceilings so it’s hard for me to reach and remove it. I have a telescopic ladder you could use or bring your own. The new blind is a simple bamboo blind that hangs from a couple of hooks at the top of the wall, and just needs installing along with the rope attachment. you would not need special expertise to fit it. I’m looking for someone with basic handyman experience who has the right equipment to work at height. Thank you :)
