I already have the replacement smoke alarm (model Ei3016). The old one is installed on a ceiling base plate and the wiring is already done. It started beeping and probably needs a battery replacement. I just need someone to safely disconnect the power, remove the old alarm, clip the new one in, and test it. Should be a quick job (5–10 minutes). Ceiling is easy to reach with a chair or small ladder. Please bring a voltage tester or be comfortable working with mains. North Finchley location. I bought a new cooker hood and need help mounting it on the wall and do the electricals (e.g. hood lights). It is the type that is internally recirculating so no outside pipe. There is a electrical power outlet on top of the cooker. The actual hood is about 60cm wide. My light is off. I think it’s the fuse.

Some of the socket covers appear to be loose and require tightening. Additionally, one of the bedside table lamp plug covers has come off and needs replacing (as shown in the photo). One double socket is also not functioning; given that it was loose, it is likely that the contact has been lost or a cable has become disconnected. Thank you.

Need new bathroom ceiling light installed. I've taken the old light off which required 3x live cables to work. Have purchased a new light fitting that only needs 1x. Need an electrician to install new light fitting and sort out what to do with the 2x unrequired wires safely.
