My old manual recliner keeps “dropping” when I select it to recline in the highest position.

I have a recliner chair that has stopped its recliner function. The electrical components are still attached and connected, it’s just not reclining.

the inner cord that reclines the chair and footrest has detached from the lever mechanism/handle on recliner, I pulled the chair apart hoping to reattach, but some internal parts of the lever mechanism (which is part of the handle) that holds the cable in place have snapped off.

Something which feels like a spring / coil has popped up under the seat which makes sitting uncomfortable.

My recliner chair is Magnificent but it is old and it has lost a few screws like its owner. It reclines to 180° and rotate 360°.And I Would love to keep on using it.

I recently purchased a second-hand recliner chair, a few weeks ago, that is in relatively good working condition at the time. The other day, one of the zig-zag springs under the seat has just snapped off and needs to be repaired (another spring was already broken when I initially bought it through Facebook Marketplace) so in total there are 2 springs that need replacement/repairing. I do acknowledge that I’m currently on the heavier side, weighing around 120kg, but I’m hoping the issue is more related to the chair’s prior wear and age rather than my weight. I’ve attached some photos for your reference.
