We’ve just bought an early 80s apartment with rendered brick walls. Our hallway and a few bedroom walls in our are very bumpy / unevenly textured. We’d like to smooth out these walls, and potentially sharpen up some of the corners. I believe this involves skim coating / sanding the existing painted render, and adding in plaster trim on corners.

We have two doors that I need fixed: 1. One of them: the door isn't closing. I'm not sure if it needs to be shaved off a bit but the lock isn't connecting with the lock part of it. 2. The other one: we just need a door handle put in with the door. It doesn't have to be perfect at all. We are doing a huge renovation at the end of the year so it doesn't have to be perfect, just work! . These are just my kids' rooms, and I need them to be able to close their doors properly. Almost no need for a fix for the moment. If possible, I would love to do this on a Tuesday, 5th May! but flexiable at the same time for a day next week. But Tues or Wed the best days!

There is a gap between the cupboard and the wall in my bathroom and it brings in insects (cockroach) into my bathroom. I want it sealed. Also the faucet needs to be tightened

This external headbox has popped off the middle and far right hanging bracket . I’ve tried to lift it and put it back but it won’t go on Need someone to tighten and loose screws and rehang the box back on securely I have a ladder and I expect this is a 2 person job so happy to assist . 🔧 ROLLER SHUTTER REPAIR Looking for an experienced handyman or roller shutter technician to repair a motorised roller shutter that has partially failed. SITUATION: Large aluminium motorised roller shutter (approx 3m wide) over a window. The plastic axle end insert/bearing inside the barrel has disintegrated (30+ year old unit), causing the barrel to drop out of its end bracket. The shutter is currently stuck in the closed position and propped safely. WHAT'S NEEDED: • Remove old/broken plastic axle end insert from barrel • Supply and fit replacement octagonal axle insert with bearing (part identified — ~$35 from Shutter Masters AU, can order prior to job or tasker to supply) • Re-seat barrel correctly into end brackets • Test that shutter can be operated manually (motor assessment optional/secondary) • Re-rivet or screw housing lid back on SITE DETAILS: • Housing lid already removed (rivets drilled out) • Ladder access required — barrel is at eave height • Two people may be needed to lift and seat the barrel ( i can help with manual labour) IDEAL TASKER: Roller shutter technician, handyman with shutter experience, or capable general tradesperson.
