I’m looking for a skilled handyman, carpenter or experienced DIYer to remove and replace the old timber floorboards on a small semi-covered balcony/sunroom area at my home in Erskineville (Inner West, Sydney). The area measures 2.61m x 2.68m (approx. 7m²) and currently has narrow timber boards that are worn and flaking. The subframe/joists appear solid and level — this job is primarily a surface board replacement. ⸻ Scope of work: ✅ Remove existing decking boards and dispose of waste ✅ Inspect joists and advise if any minor repairs are needed ✅ Supply and install new hardwood decking boards (Merbau, Spotted Gum, or similar) ✅ Secure boards with stainless steel decking screws ✅ Lightly sand surface and apply two coats of decking oil/stain for weather protection ✅ Leave the area clean and tidy ⸻ Materials: • You may supply materials (please include in quote) or I can supply — approx. 8m² hardwood decking, screws, decking oil, and brushes/rollers. • Please confirm preferred decking timber type and finish in your offer. ⸻ Access & Conditions: • Easy access via internal room to the small balcony (see photos). • Power outlet available on site. • Area is semi-covered (some weather exposure). • Parking available on street. ⸻ Timing: Flexible over the next 2–3 weeks. Hi! My name is Amy and I (with the help of a carpenter) have designed and made a prototype of a very large frame. The frame is made from recycled wood, glass and painted plywood that slides in and out so you’re able to change out the artwork. The corners have been connected with deep tongue and grooves. It has a spherical hollowed out bit at the top so the plywood can be pulled in and out. I’m looking for a carpenter who can help me fix up the prototype by widening the bottom and top slots, but more importantly I need someone to teach me how to build the entire frame from scratch so that I’m confident building them on my own. This includes figuring out if I’ll need access to a workshop or if it’s viable for me to set up an appropriate workstation at home that can accommodate everything I need. My goal is to produce a high-quality product that can be mounted to a wall. I am an extreme beginner to carpentry but I have done a few basic things and consider myself handy. To Summarize: I’m looking for a furniture-grade carpenter who’s happy to teach. Scope: * Tidy prototype: widen the top/bottom slots the ply rides in; general fit/finish. * Teach & co-build a repeatable version from scratch (cut list, jigs, assembly order, finishes, wall-mount solution). * Advise on workspace: whether I should use a workshop in future or set up a safe home workstation. I am trying to put a sauna in my gym, we have a space of 1200mm wide which fits the sauna perfectly. We need the existing cabinets disassembled and the skirting removed (skirting will go back on later so need to salvage) The actual space though narrows from 1200 at the opening to 1180 where the sauna needs to go. Wanting to shave off 10-15mm each side to fit the sauna.

Hi! I'm looking for someone to make a laundry and 1 wardrobe and put shelves etc into an existing pantry for me please. The laundry is a simple job - involves building a cupboard prior (or after) a laundry install. Approx dimensions 2100 H x 600 x 700. The wardrobe would be a mostly hanging wardrobe with drawers, installed along one wall, with approx dimensions of 470 D, 3200 W and 2200 H. I'm looking for a white finish with silver handles. The property is an old building, so looking for a classic finish (rather than modern). Something like the attached photo (those doors are from freedom). Assemble a shelf and draws

Hey team I have a wooden ledge that has come off a bit from the wall. We have an interim solution to place an extendable leg for support but ultimately would love to get it fixed. While we can do it ourselves, I thought it’d be worth seeking a quote from someone/team with more experience with drilling into concrete and the bits n bits required, especially as it’s come off and I want to make sure we’re not causing further damage or bigger holes by re-drilling etc.

I need someone to install skirting boards (trim) along parts of my house. The wood flooring is already installed — this is just to finish the edges on a few walls where trim is missing. Details: Approx. 15 metres of wall needs new skirting. Some existing trim already in place — this is just to complete missing sections. Skirting trim are provided Needs to be cut, fitted, and nailed/glued neatly with clean corners.

I have finished 90% of a custom TV unit made out of aluminium extrusions, and I just need help with the last 10%. I commissioned a company to help make me schematics, I have all the parts, I just need to create the cabinets (I have the wood), and put the last few bits together. I have free parking available on site. Job is best for someone who is a cabinet maker and/or has experience with aluminium extrusions.
