We are looking to engage a painter ideally with experience spray painting aluminium window frames. The process is time consuming as it involves significant preparation, including cleaning of frames, sanding of frames to roughen surface, secondary cleaning with methylated spirits (or similar solvent) and taping of surrounding areas to avoid overspray. Please refer to photos (which show external face only - the inside also requires painting). There are 8x 'full length' windows, 4x medium/normal size windows, 5x small windows (including the toilet window downstairs), and a door frame. We are hoping to go from beige frames to white frames - ideally matching as closely as possible the white on 3x small security screens we've recently had installed (pictured).

Two upstairs bedrooms in Marsden Park are losing heat fast and letting in noticeable dust. I've found the main problem: the gap between the window frames and the wall openings was never filled with insulation, so there's an open path around the frames. Each room has one large aluminium glass sliding window and one wooden door. What I need: - Reveal/cavity gap around each window frame properly filled (low-expansion window foam or backing rod + insulation) and sealed - Architraves removed and refitted if needed to access the gaps - Perimeter re-caulked for a clean, airtight finish - Replace/adjust the worn brush (pile) seals on the sliding windows so they close and seal properly That's 2 windows total (one per room), plus the two wooden doors can be assessed for draught seals if quick to include. I have a window frame on house that is water damaged and needs repair/replacement and the guttering/roofing above repaired to stop it happening again. Second story bedroom window. No water ingress, water damage is on outside. There is no guttering above but needs some kind of solution to stop overflow of water from roof at this point to stop the run onto the wall and window. Struggling to find a builder willing to do this job in isolation. Any solo carpenters/handymen out there that can handle a job like this? We had a botched painting job on our entry room and are wondering if anyone has the interest/skills/equipment to help us fix it? White paint was applied over red paint (without proper prep) and it’s now peeling. We think it might be timber underneath so it’d be great to sand it back to expose that timber. We could then treat/varnish the timber; just looking for someone to do the sanding please. The task is for the frame around the door and the frame around it those glass bricks, please see photos.
