Looking for an experienced renovator/builder/handyman to review two bedrooms (partition between rooms made of PVC) and advise on best sound-proofing options. Currently lots of echo/able to hear from the other room. Will likely need to have existing partition (PVC frame) completely removed -Demolition. Existing PVC wall system (approximately 7.5 lm × 2.6 m high). Includes two existing doors and jambs. Then, construct new 70 × 45 timber stud wall. Install acoustic foam gaskets to top and bottom plates. Supply and install acoustic insulation. Sheet both sides with SoundCheck plasterboard. Set all joints ready for painting. Supply and install two timber door jambs. Supply and install two solid core doors. Install hardware and door handles/entrance sets. Install architraves and complete trim throughout. Then Painting. Need to account for electrical relocation.

Broken bedroom door - see photos. Need to fix door and install a new door lock - entrance set. Door made of PVC material (not timber/primed MDF). Will likely need a reinforcement plate around chipped area to hold the new door handle in place securely. Alternatively, a PVC part to be moulded for reinforcement. Location - Ultimo NSW 2007.
