As you can see from the pictures, the bracket has come out gyprock ceiling. We might need it put into the bricks (behind the gyprock panel), or even into the window frame?!? I'm not sure really, but anything would be better than how it was done...

An enthusiastic 5 year old wielding an old curtain rod has put an enormous crack in one of my front facing bay window’s glass panels at my house.
