I have a timber sash window that has sustained a section of rot to the staff bead and the junction of the stile and the meeting rail, on the upper sash. This has caused the meeting rail to slip downwards and expose the bottom edge of the glazing. Additionally, both sashes have perished glazing putty and that will require replacing. This job is not urgent and I’m flexible with timing. This sash is open to the elements so may not be able to be worked on during Melbourne’s wild weather.
