There is a blockage at the bottom of the kitchen sink pipe, likely caused by debris. The obstruction is several metres down and cannot be reached manually. A handyman previously tried to clear it using a 5m wire but was unsuccessful. A pump or suction machine is required to remove the blockage and restore normal flow.

I already have the bath device, which is called Relaxa. It has an electric motor and fixes to the wall (tiled) beside the bath. It has a large rechargable battery and it winds out (and in) a strong belt on which the bather sits. The other end of the belt is fixed to the floor beside the bath. To fit the Relaxa a ceramic soap dish will have to be moved one tile along; I have some spare tiles that match.
