I have an Evedal lamp from IKEA and the wooden pole that keeps it standing up has split at the bottom and it causing weakness on the base. Integrated fridge-freezer carpentry: fit bottom vent + replace damaged base + add top shelf Description Hi, I need a handyman / carpenter / kitchen fitter to prep my integrated fridge-freezer housing. The fridge-freezer is already in place, but the old unit had no ventilation, and it has damaged/rotted the wood at the bottom. I need: 1. Bottom ventilation added • Cut/prepare the plinth/kickboard area and fit a vent grille (screwed in neatly) so the fridge can breathe. 2. Replace the damaged wooden base (bottom support) • Remove the swollen/rotted base piece the fridge sits on and fit a new solid, level base. 3. Fit a top shelf/panel above the fridge • Add a wooden shelf/panel at the top of the housing (above the fridge-freezer) to finish/support the installation. Materials: You can pick up parts from Screwfix (I’m happy to reimburse materials with receipts), or I can order if you tell me exactly what to buy. Important: My fridge installation/engineer visit is booked for 29th, so I need this done before then (or latest morning of the 29th).
