I have a wooden floor that has been damaged by a small leak/spill of Mr Muscle drain unblocker. The affected area has become dull, discoloured and turned slightly white after being wiped with water. I’m looking for someone experienced with wooden floor repairs to assess the damage and restore the affected area if possible. This may involve treating the wood, repairing the finish, colour matching, sanding/spot repair, or refinishing the affected section. Please only apply if you have experience repairing damaged wooden flooring and can advise on the best solution.

We have a patch of wooden windowsill that has dry rot, we think as a result of squirrels trying to get into the flat over time. They have done it a few times to steal fruit. I need the patch filling, sanding and repainting as new pls.

We want built in shelving/clothes rail building into a side space in the bedroom. The space doesn’t need a door (it’s open to the room), but want to have built in storage. The space is roughly 2m x 0.8m (1m in the arch recess). We are open to design ideas. We just moved into the house so please excuse the space is currently messy as we’re using it to put unbuilt furniture etc. Note: we entered £10 in the budget as a placeholder. I have an opening in a partition wall that exposes a tiled void behind it, and I’d like to turn this space into a recessed ledge. The job will involve removing the central timber stud, lining the internal sides of the opening to create a clean recessed box, and finishing the edges with bead so it can be plastered/skimmed. There are already tiles behind, but a few are loose and missing so around 10 tiles will need to be added. I would also like the window at the top to be sealed shut and the glass to be replaced so there is no vent.

Hi, I have a long, vertical water stain on my bedroom wall caused by a previous, historic leak from months ago (the leak has been fully resolved and the wall is completely dry now). There is NO mould, but there is some water staining/discolouration and slight paint peeling near the window frame. The job requires: 1: Properly scraping and sanding down all the peeling/flaking paint to ensure a perfectly smooth surface before priming. 2: Applying a stain block primer (e.g., Zinsser B-I-N or similar) to ensure the stain doesn't bleed through. 3: Repainting it with white emulsion paint. Please note that the final paint colour must be an exact match to the original wall colour (no patchy or mismatched whites). 4: The bedroom is fully carpeted, so you must bring proper dust sheets/protection and ensure no paint or debris stains the carpet. Hi, I’m looking for someone with experience restoring or treating LIGHT - MEDIUM coloured wood floor stains to help with a small area in my living room. My dog had a few pee accidents, and I initially tried to clean the area with Fairy liquid, but now the affected spots look whitish/lighter than the surrounding wood, so I’d really like someone who actually knows what they’re doing with wooden floors. What I need: Someone experienced with wood floor cleaning / stain treatment / floor restoration Ideally someone who has dealt with: pet urine stains on wood floors surface whitening / cloudy patches product damage / finish damage You should know what products or treatment are appropriate and bring what’s needed if possible Area: Very small section of the living room This is not a full-room job Should be a relatively quick task for the right person, but I’d prefer someone who can assess it properly first Important: Please only apply if you have done this kind of repair/treatment before and can tell me: how you’d fix it roughly how long it would take Thanks!
