My PROPOSED solution, is a segment of corrugated sheet on wood, pitched at a slight angle for water flow, and fixed to the pergoda with several ratchets. The job could be potentially changed to another idea if you've got a good solution that's effective and not too costly. As long as it's able to cover a significant part of the area to shield from rain, is able to be uninstalled by unskilled hands, and no permanent changes are made to the pergoda or fixtures.
