Job Description: I am looking for a detail-oriented handyman or technician to assemble and mount two (2) Ergotron HX Desk Monitor Arms (Model: 45-475-224) to my computer desk. Because of the desk layout and weight requirements, these cannot use standard edge clamps. They need to be installed using the Grommet Mount method, which requires drilling a clean hole completely through the desktop. (I will point out the exact positioning). (2) Mounting the hardware: Securely install both Ergotron HX bases using the grommet hardware (included in the factory box). (3) Arm assembly: Assemble the arm extensions, monitor pivots, and attach the monitors (VESA mounts). (4) Tension adjustment & Cable management: Adjust the arm tension (Constant Force) to match the monitor weight so they float correctly, and neatly route cables through the built-in channels. What you need to bring: Power drill and appropriate spade bit / hole saw attachment suitable for making a clean grommet hole through wood without splintering. Standard tools (screwdrivers/hex keys, though standard mounting hardware is included in the box). Experience with heavy-duty monitor setups or precision desk modifications is a massive plus.
