Scope of Work: Looking for a trade-qualified carpenter to hang a pair of internal double doors and transfer/install the hardware set. Door Details:Size: 2040mm (H) x 620mm (W) per door. Brand/Model: Hume Oakfield 4-Panel (MDF/Hollow Core). Thickness: New doors are standard 35mm. The existing jamb currently holds old 32mm doors, so minor hinge depth or stop adjustments will be required to ensure a perfectly flush fit. Modifications: The doors are arriving with a standard 10mm factory rebate (interlocking lip) already cut into the meeting stiles. Hardware & Drilling Details: Active Door: Will arrive pre-drilled from the factory with a standard 50mm face hole and a 25mm latch hole (aligned for the 10mm rebate). Inactive Door: Arriving completely blank on the edge. Custom Chisel Work Required: To match the original setup, both the active latch plate and the inactive receiver plate must be hand-chiselled on-site as a recessed flush mortise with a 1mm blind veneer cover. This leaves a tiny paper-thin lip of the door's front face intact so the metal side edges are completely hidden from view when closed. Secondary Lock: Install standard flush/barrel bolts to the top and bottom of the inactive door. Requirements:Must be a trade-qualified carpenter or an experienced door installer. Must bring professional tools (sharp wood chisels/trim router) capable of completing the delicate 1mm blind veneer recess without splintering the pre-primed door skin. Please provide a fixed, all-inclusive trade labour rate (Materials/doors are fully supplied by me). Located in Dee Why. Looking to get this completed once the doors arrive from the supplier. Need an experienced carpenter/builder to remove an existing external door and permanently infill the opening with a fixed glazed panel in a double-brick house. Scope of work: • Remove existing door, frame and associated hardware. • Supply and install a fixed glazed panel (half-height glass panel, not an opening window). • Make good the surrounding structure and ensure the installation is weatherproof. • External finish to be fibre cement sheeting, ready for painting (painting by owner). • Internal finish to be plasterboard/plaster, set and sanded ready for painting (painting by owner). • All work to be completed to a professional standard and suitable for external conditions. Additional information: • Property is a double-brick house. • Happy for the tradesperson to supply materials, or I can provide materials if preferred. • Please include details of your experience with similar work and whether you will supply materials in your quote. We have a total of 6 doors that need installing. They’re all painted and in the house, we have the hinges and screws etc. one of them is hung but needs a bit of planing and the handle.
