Looking for someone in Sydney with a garage, workshop or suitable space at home for simple, repetitive MDF cutting. Initial job is a trial of 10 sheets, with ongoing work of approximately 30–60 MDF sheets per week if it works well. Work is done at your own home/garage. I deliver the MDF and all equipment to you and collect the finished pieces. Everything supplied * Plunge saw + guide tracks * Router + router bit * Saw horses/work table * Vacuum attachment * All 18mm MDF * Cutting drawing/measurements You don’t need your own tools — just a suitable workspace and confidence using power tools. The work The same cuts are repeated each time using my supplied drawing/template. Two MDF sheets are stacked and cut together, producing two matching pieces at once. Cuts don’t need to stop precisely at the measured intersection and can pass the marked line where required — we simply need the correct finished shapes. After cutting, one side of each set is flush trimmed with the router. I’ll provide photos and a drawing showing exactly what needs to be cut. Time it takes to do job: I currently complete one sheet in approximately 15 minutes, including cutting and router trimming. It may take longer initially, but becomes quick and repetitive once familiar. I’m happy to demonstrate the process and do the first cuts with you if needed. Ongoing work Trial is 10 sheets. If it goes well, I’m looking for someone to regularly cut 30–60 MDF sheets per week. No carpentry qualification required — handyman, DIYer, woodworker or anyone experienced and safe with a plunge saw/router is welcome. I need MDF cut to size to put on the face of wardrobe doors and drawer fronts so we can apply veneer. The wardrobes and drawers are already laminated, so we can't apply veneer straight onto them. I've attached a sketch of the dimensions and quantities we need - anywhere where it says "VENEER" is where we need MDF. These are straight forward cuts, nothing fancy, so I'm hoping it won't take too long.
