I have multiple external hard drives. I believe some of them aren’t working or I’m not sure what’s wrong with them and I have a broken MacBook. I want to purchase a new MacBook, recover as much data from the hard drives as possible and then consolidate the last five years onto the new Mac and the rest onto an archived hard drive.

My MacBook Pro keeps dropping off the internet after connecting for a few minutes. Up until yesterday I was using a shared service with my landlord who lives in the house in front.
