What’s Provided: Pine Handrail Mopstick (3.6m) and 4x wall brackets (all arrived from B&Q). Free parking spot directly outside the house. Wall & Fixing Setup: The wall is drywall over a timber stud frame. I have used a stud finder to locate 4 timber studs along the stair line ready for secure fixing. Photos of the staircase are attached to this listing. Requirements: Must bring own tools (spirit level, tape measure, drill/driver, saw, sander). Must bring heavy-duty wood screws suitable for anchoring the brackets securely into the timber studs (needs to hold full adult load safely). Clean, neat finish. The exterior finish has worn away, with dark staining and surface wear along the outside edge. The timber feels very firm when pressed, but a little moss has started growing in a crack. Photos attached. I’d like someone to assess the timber, remove the moss, prepare and sand the surface, carry out any necessary local repairs, and apply a durable finish suitable for an exposed exterior threshold. Looking for a carpenter/joiner to refit my kitchen plinths after a parquet flooring job. The new floor height means the plinths need to be trimmed to the correct height and neatly refitted. This is a straightforward job but need to have a circular saw/fine-tooth saw suitable for making clean, straight cuts and be confident with accurate finishing.
