Looking for someone experienced in plasterboard repairs and insulation removal at my townhouse in Forrest Hill. A dead rodent was removed from the insulation behind a light switch 2 weeks ago and treated with disinfectant from professional, but a persistent odour remains. I need the affected insulation removed and the plasterboard repaired (painting will be done by us). The likely approach is to cut a rectangular section around the affected area, remove the insulation, then refit and patch the plasterboard. The wall studs are approximately 5 cm to the right and 10 cm to the left of the existing opening. Please quote for labour and materials. Hoping someone can help.

Need someone to repair two small spots on the same plasterboard corner wall and paint over them so they blend seamlessly. Spot 1 (Near floor): Small patch of torn plasterboard paper exposing the brown backing. Needs sealing to prevent bubbling, topping compound, sanding, and paint. Spot 2 (Near ceiling): Wall scuffs and shallow gouges. Needs light filling, sanding smooth, and paint touch-up. Paint will be provided.

We are updating our living room, We need a a small 100mm x 610mm x5m bulkhead build across our ceiling of our living room. Cornice needs to be moved, or new piece installed and plaster finished off ready for painting. Allowance for cupboard installation, electrical and new flue from fireplace to be made in framework.

Looking for an electrician to complete some electrical work on an internal feature wall in my home before a decorative wall mural is installed. Please refer to the attached photos of the wall. Scope of work: 1. Remove existing wall light fitting: Safely disconnect and remove the existing light fitting from the wall. Make the wiring safe and terminate and insulate it in accordance with Australian electrical standards. 2. Install flush blanking plate: Fit a neat, flush, paintable blanking plate over the existing light outlet, junction box or wall opening, as appropriate. The finish needs to be as low-profile and unobtrusive as possible so the wall mural can be installed neatly over or around it. 3. Remove existing power point: Safely disconnect and remove the existing wall power point, including making the wiring safe and appropriately terminating it. Install a suitable absolutely flush blanking plate to cover the opening, leaving a neat finish for the mural installation. 4. Install LED strip lighting: Supply and install approximately 3.5–4 metres of LED strip lighting along the bottom of the feature wall, above the skirting board or at the wall–floor junction, as appropriate. I’m looking for a clean, discreet installation with an even, warm-white glow. 5. LED installation details: Please recommend a suitable LED strip, aluminium mounting channel/diffuser if required, and an appropriate driver/power supply. Ideally, the installation should have concealed wiring and a neat finish, with no visible cables. Please advise on the best location for the led, driver and switching arrangement. Please quote for the complete job for supply and install and advise your earliest availability.

Looking for an experienced handyman/plasterer to repair two ceiling plasterboard holes: one small hole above/inside a window frame area and one larger rectangular hole in the bedroom ceiling. Existing plasterboard is 13mm thick. Patch, sand and finish flush with the ceiling, then prime and apply local touch-up paint to blend with the surrounding ceiling. Tasker must supply all materials, paint and tools. Please protect floors, furniture and window furnishings, keep the house clean and tidy, and remove all waste. Must complete the job within one day on Wednesday 7 October 2026. Photos can be provided.

Three power points in the wall needing fixing.

2 of the bedroom robe interiors are demolished and newly installed cabinets. Plastering work needed to fill the gaps, dents and cracks on the interior robes. Couple of hours job for an experienced plasterer. Need this done before painting works to commence.

Some plaster finishing & cornice work in a kitchen in preparation for painting. All new plaster is already on, work is only finishing to smooth with some minor cornice work. I have all materials on site except for the cornices.

Looking for an experienced plasterer to install plasterboard to sections of our dining room walls following a kitchen renovation. Approximate areas: * 1100mm × 1400mm * 2600mm × 1600mm * 2600mm × 920mm We only require the plasterboard to be supplied/installed and joints stopped/taped ready for sanding. We are happy to complete the final sanding and preparation for painting ourselves. Existing cornices are staying, so plasterboard will need to be neatly fitted to the existing walls/cornice.
