We have roller blinds and one of the blinds will no longer roll up. The blinds roll up and down through string attached to the blinds which is expanded and retracted through a chain drive and I think the string has become detached from the chain drive or or twisted.

Remove existing roller blinds in an apartment and install wood block so that curtains can be installed. The Venetian blind in our living room no longer locks/stays up when raised. The lift cord appears to have stopped engaging with the cord-lock mechanism, so we currently have to use a heavy object to keep the blind raised. Please inspect the blind and repair or replace the cord-lock mechanism so that the blind can be raised and securely stay up normally. Prefer someone experienced with Venetian blind repairs. Please advise if the cord lock can be replaced rather than replacing the entire blind.
