I'm fixing up a very dated shed. I have done the stud walls, but need a sparky to come and wire up a couple of power points & lights + switches for me before I can fix the internal cladding on. Usual story mates and inlaws both sparkies, said they would do it and definatly owe me a few favours. 7 months later, still not done. Sick of waiting. Just want it done. I can't see it taking more than an hour. Not a big job. Would do it myself, but don't have the tools. Also, would need to supply the cabling, etc or let me know what you need so I can grab it for ya. I need a licensed electrician to thoroughly investigate and repair an intermittent fault on my power points circuit (circut number 5 in the photo, covering most house outlets) in my double-storey double-brick house (100 years old, extended and renovated 30 years ago). The issue seems to be rain-related: The number 5 circuit tripped the main switches during light rain on two separate occassions. First time (2 weeks ago) the tripping persisted until overnight reset, second (1 week ago) only after 30 minutes. It happened even with all appliances unplugged. Rain today caused no tripping, confirming fault is intermittent. Previous electrician attended but wouldn't investigate without active fault. I need someone patient and methodical to do thorough and full diagnosis (insulation resistance testing, visual inspections, circuit tracing, rain simulation if needed etc) on a dry day (when no fault is active). Budget is indicative and please provide breakdown. If it's difficult to quote fixed price, please advise your rate and estimated time for thorough testing. Many thanks
