Licensed Electrician – 2 Small Power Point Jobs Looking for a licensed electrician to complete two relatively small electrical jobs at our home. Job 1 – create new PowerPoint..adjacent to existing port. Job 2 – Connect new double power point We have had a new double power point/faceplate installed in the kitchen. The hardware is new, however it has not been connected to the electrical wiring behind it. We need the existing wiring inspected, the new power point correctly connected and everything tested to ensure it is safe and operational. Photos attached showing both jobs. Last night while watching TV the whole house went dark suddenly. When I checked I saw the #1 switch (blue) tripped. When I fixed it, it stays on for 10 seconds and trips again. The I turned all switches on the panel off except the main and the blue one. The I turned them on one by one until the blue one tripped again. Turns out the #2 (next one to the blue one) was causing it. It controlled the laundry and the kitchen power sockets, including the fridge (which we now moved to a different power point). No appliances were active at the time of the original trip. In fact, if we remove all appliances in the kitchen and the laundry, it still trips. As a dip note: 6 months ago or so, we bought solar battery. While they were installing it they shuffled the panel a bit. Since then we have weird stuff happening. For example, the power door bell (intercom) keeps losing power every now and then for half a day and the recovers on its own.

The setup: -Gate and frame are already purchased and on site - One side has an existing panel/post to attach to - The other side needs a support — looking at a no-dig/concrete-free post from Bunnings (e.g. ground spike anchor) Measurements: Total fence to path width: 133cm Gate width: 78cm Side panel: 31cm Path width: 84cm Gate height: 120cm Back panel height: 124.5cm Front panel height: 124.5cm (approx.) What we need: Someone to assess, source a suitable ground spike or stake from Bunnings (nearby), and install the gate so it opens and closes securely. No concreting, no panels, no major earthworks. Goal: Keep a dog contained. Function over form — doesn’t need to look perfect. Budget is $200 all-inclusive (your time + any hardware). Happy to discuss if you have a smart, cost-effective approach.
