We need a knowledgeable IT / networking technician to help optimise the network and Wi-Fi coverage in our office. We are looking for a "good enough" cost-effective solution rather than a massive infrastructure overhaul, as we plan to move to a new facility in about 12 months. Ideally, we want a solution using equipment that we can easily pack up and take with us to the new facility, or hardware that is budget-friendly. Our Setup: - Staff & Devices: ~10 in-person staff with roughly 25–30 active devices at any time (laptops, phones, printers, security cameras, etc.). - Layout: The office is upstairs (warehouse is downstairs and does not need coverage). The upstairs office has two areas that both need strong coverage: the main office area (approx. 8m x 5m) and an outdoor mezzanine area (approx. 3m x 3m). - Existing Infrastructure: We already have Ethernet cabling running throughout the main office area and fed to our security cameras. Scope of Work: - Assess & Recommend: Look at our current modem/router setup and advise whether we should use wired access points (utilizing our existing cabling) or a simple Wi-Fi mesh/repeater system to cover the main room and the mezzanine. - Installation & Setup: Set up and configure the agreed-upon hardware (we can purchase the hardware based on your recommendation, or reimburse you if you supply it). - Testing: Ensure all 25–30 devices (including printers and security cameras) connect reliably with decent speed across both the main office and mezzanine. Requirements: - Proven experience with small business or advanced home networking setups. - Ability to recommend reliable, cost-effective hardware (e.g., Ubiquiti UniFi, TP-Link Omada, or a solid mesh system like Deco/Eero) that fits a temporary 12-month lease.

Looking for someone to set up a Home network We have recently had FTP NBN installed by Telstra and the connection is downstairs in our house. I need someone who is familiar with setting up Home networks to use an extra extender and an old router that we have to extend the Internet to upstairs as well. Someone versed in mesh networks and reusing old routers would be perfect and if you know what you’re doing, it is a short job.

There is a wifi extender at our warehouse in Granville. This extender is used so that the printer kept on first floor can connect with the wifi device olaced at the ground floor at our warehouse.

We are looking for an experienced IT technician or network specialist to attend our property in Auburn to investigate and permanently resolve a recurring Wi-Fi connectivity issue. A previous technician attended the property and identified that the issue was not with the modem or router. Instead, the Ethernet wall data port is loose inside the wall cavity. When the Ethernet cable is unplugged or moves, the connector falls back into the wall, making it difficult to reconnect. The previous technician temporarily restored the internet by reconnecting the cable, but the internet has since stopped working again. We are now looking for someone who can provide a more permanent solution. Scope of Work: Inspect the existing modem, router and network setup. Diagnose and restore the internet connection. Inspect the loose Ethernet wall outlet/data port. If possible, securely fix or remount the wall data port so it is properly secured and does not fall back into the wall. Test both the internet connection and Wi-Fi before leaving to ensure everything is working correctly. Please let us know in your offer whether you are able to repair or secure the wall data port as part of this job. If the repair requires a licensed cabler or electrician, please advise us on-site.
