I’m having trouble rebooting my old Mac PC. When I reboot it, it comes up with a folder with a question mark. I tried to reboot it holding Command + R and it shows up with a password lock. I received the password for it and tried to enter the password but it doesn’t seem to register that I want to unlock it. If anyone could help me reboot and unlock this Mac that would be great, thanks.

I do not have the correct socket at home to connect to the internet, and I require assistance with this. It appears that I do not have the proper FTTB (Fiber to the Building) connection point—only the existing plug shown in the attached image, which is not suitable.
