Onsite Tech - Orbi Network Configuration

$65

Kareela NSW, Australia

25th Feb 2025

Hi, getting a few issues with orbi configuration and the network in home office. Is a wired network in the office (orbi router->switch->second switch-2*PC's) + a wireless (orbi + 3 satellites) network for multiple devices. It has a 6g, IOT, Guest and standard wifi setup. Help needed - Update orbi's to latest FW....https://www.netgear.com/support/product/rbke962/#download - Remove netgear router and connect orbi direct to nbn box/nbn. Had issues with configuring the orbi for this before and needed to add a netgear router (RAXE500) between the orbi and the NBN box. - Check pc's in office are getting max wired connection (ideally remove second switch and run second lan cable) - Printer can't print when connected to lan but can when on wireless or windows machines stop connecting to the printer, perhaps due to changing IP of printer. - make virtual lan for office/gaming/streaming that prioritises traffic for some devices over the standard wifi that has IoT devices connected) - re-add orbi satellite as not connecting now

Brand new windows pc from techfast freezing after a couple of minutes

$100

Wyoming NSW 2250, Australia

21st Feb 2025

Bought a pc, and it's freezing after a couple of minutes. I've reset from the bios and it still keeps freezing. It's connected via Ethernet. Bought online from a company that has terrible support so I'm happy to pay someone if they can fix it. Windows 11

I bought a brand new pc from Techfast and it didn't work straight out of the box. Ross persisted trying to get it to run, trying every trick in the book, magically getting it to run, which was a miracle, because after he got it running, we discovered that the processor supplied by Techfast is not supported by Windows 11. Can't speak highly enough of Ross he went out of his way to help us out. Choose this guy folks, he knows his stuff!

NBN Technician Needed - Poor Speeds, Drop Outs, Possible Wiring Issue

$130

Randwick, New South Wales

11th Feb 2025

I’m experiencing ongoing issues with my NBN connection – very poor speeds and frequent dropouts. I’ve already tried changing service providers twice and tested 3 new modems, but the issue persists. I’ve also had an NBN technician visit the premises, but they couldn’t identify the problem. I suspect the issue could be related to the internal wiring, and I need someone with experience to assess the situation and recommend a solution. Ideally, someone who knows the ins and outs of NBN connections and can diagnose and fix potential wiring issues. Requirements: Experience with NBN installations and troubleshooting. Able to assess internal wiring and suggest improvements. Provide recommendations for resolving the issue.
