My old workers cottage in Collingwood sits on bluestone footings and suffers from ground movement creating cracks. I need those cracks patched. I have a crack at a ceiling/wall join that has opened multiple times. Looking for someone to place ‘strapping’ over this rather than try and replaster again. Second area of cracking is a wall crack in an old wet plaster wall with associated join issues around cabinetry etc. would like advice on best approach to manage this issue (eg, patch with wet plaster, remove wet plaster and use plasterboard etc). I’m aware that the cracks will likely reappear but need to manage them for renters. I’m happy to work with someone on the best solutions.
